I have to apologize for the late notice on the book winner. I know I said I would announce it when the book came out and then, well, life happened and a bunch of stuff came up and I didn’t have time to write a blog post. I’m sorry about that! But the winner of the free book is – Tina Keiser! Tina, I will get your book to you ASAP, it hasn’t come in the mail yet (it’s coming with my author copies, which are taking a super long time), but should be here by the end of this week or the middle of next. Congratulations and I hope you like it!
In other news, I am starting a new novel. Well, I haven’t started writing it yet, but I do have it outlined and all the prep work is done. I’m going to take more time with this one, so bear with me. I wrote my last novel as part of April’s Camp National Novel Writing Month, which means I wrote 2000 words every day to finish it in a month. This time, I’m going to be taking my time and seeing how things go. I’d like to keep learning a lot more about story structure and character arcs before I get too carried away with just typing. Plus, with my migraines and whatnot, I might have to take some days off here and there.
I can’t believe August is almost over. It’s crazy. I know 2020 hasn’t been a great year, but it sure is flying by. Yesterday I got to help my best friend move back to town after several years of living an hour and a half away. The dynamic duo is back everyone – watch out! Lol just kidding. We’re too old to be too dynamic these days. But I am super excited that she’s back and can’t wait to have some girl time with my bestie. Having her nearby is going to do wonders for my mental health.
That about wraps things up for me right now. I could go on and on about my migraine woes, but no one wants to hear that. I wish I could say things were getting better, but they’re not. Ah well. Someday.
